“I FIND THE FAULTS THE OTHERS DON’T!”

When buying a new built property be aware that there could be as many as 350 snags in the property which could end up costing you €000’s.

Are you considering purchasing your dream home or in the process of self – building your own home? If you are then carry on reading to gain a valuable insight into why you should have your home professionally snagged by Snaglist Steve to make sure your house becomes your dream home and not a house of horrors.

In this site we will explain the many reasons why you should have your new home professionally snagged before you complete your house purchase. Just take a look at some of the photographs in the Gallery section that I have found over the years of conducting inspections to see why you need to have a snag list inspection undertaken

Many houses today are being constructed very quickly and this sometimes leads to corners being cut, items being left out or forgotten about. Be aware, there are some very dodgy “tradesmen” plying their so called trade in the construction industry today.

I will produce a snag list with all the faults in your home which can range from a minimum of 50 snags up to 350 & possibly more! You can then give the list to your builders so they can rectify these faults before you make your final payment & move in.

Lots of people have purchased their home without having a snaglist done. This is undoubtedly a big mistake as they only come across the problems after living in the house in the weeks & months afterwards. e.g. Door handles falling off, doors not closing properly, cupboard doors uneven and loose, floors uneven, radiators not working, leaks in pipes & shower doors, gutters broken, window sills not level, tiling & grouting badly finished, woodwork not sanded etc. etc.

Do you really want to have workmen in your brand new home after you have fully moved in repairing the problems and creating dust and mess, sanding walls and woodwork, fixing leaks, taking up floors etc and you also having to take time off work? No…. I didn’t think so!

That is why it pays to have your home professionally snagged for total peace of mind.

I also undertake snag lists for secondhand properties. This gives you the same service as is undertaken for a newly built house, highlighting any issues, damp, rot, leaks broken fittings etc & all the little jobs that are required to bring the property back to a like new condition. You can use the list to work through the property at your own pace ticking off the jobs as they are completed either by professional tradesmen or by yourself.
